I Need a Laugh Do You Need a Laugh?

There's going to be a new expression soon, what comes around, blogs around, or some such thing. I was surfing blogs, you know, going to a familiar one, reading someone's comment, then clicking on that one, which brings you to yet another one and finally you have no idea where you started. But what does it really matter? So, I was at Maritza's blog and she was writing about this website called my heritage.com. where supposedly you can give them a picture of yourself and they will in return show you pics of celebrities who most resemble you or you most resemble. So, I thought, well, I'd certainly like to know who they think I look like and I'm a glutton for punishment, so, here it goes:

OK, the pic I gave them was a bit too close-up, but they said it should be looking straightforward and this was that. Don't laugh...well, actually, you can laugh, cause that was supposed to be the point of this post...but don't laugh too hard; so, here's the pic....

So, on maritza's blog the first celebrity was some good looking, sexy actress and I'm waiting for mine and here's the fist celebrity heritage.com comes up with for my best look-a-like celebrity.......

No Kidding, this is who it was

I wouldn't lie to you and I couldn't make this up....................................

Yeah, it's Tony Danza. The sexy celebrity I look like is Tony Danza! Thanks bunches, heritage.com.

But wait, there are more and they do get better.............................................................................

My next look-alike is.................................

Add Image

Avril Lavigne, that's not so bad, and the name sounds Jewish, so we're doing just fine....I can't wait to see the next one and it's..........................

Andie McDowell

/>now we're cooking. I'm feeling a lot more confident and the next celebrity that resembles me or vice-versa is.....

Anette Benning..now I'm actually excited; I'm thinking, hey I'm not too bad, so I keep on truckiing and lo and behold, they tell me that I look like none other than

Steve Buscemi and....

Joi Ito (should I know who he is?)

and after a few more, I'm about to take the gas pipe, when the very last celebrity look alike for me is.....

.................................................................... ...........................................................

Cybil Shepherd and I figure I'll quit while I'm ahead. 0;

Love it! At least they hit you Tony Danza and then it gets better and better. My poor daughter, who's beautiful even if I do say so as her mom, keeps getting Noam Chomsky!

That's so funny, Maritza, because I just came from a friends blog, where he has posted a pic of Noam Chomsky becaue Chomsky wrote to him regarding a book he's writing and I commented that that is great but NC is not on my favorite people's list because of what he writes about Israel.....which has nothing at all to do with myheritage.com, but it just is always occurring to me how the blog world is getting to be a smaller and more intimate place.

Tell your daughter that she looks NOTHING like Noam and that she shouldn't feel so bad since they also had me looking like Joi Ito, who is at least cuter than Steve Buscemi!

That really made me laugh! I wasn't actually expecting that. I did the it myself but I can't figure out how to get the picture. Right clicking it doesn't work, so what's the trick?

Hi Robert,

1. Click on myheritage site on my blog.
2. Click Try It Now.
3. Click Upload a Picture (yours)
4. Click my heritage celebrity data box.
5. Click Run Face Recognition.

Then your pic comes up and a celeb's under it. On the celeb's pic there are arrors to see other celebs. Tog get a pic of the celeb to copy, click on the little 2 pics/pics

Funny thing is I did it again in order to give you the instructions and I uploaded a diff. pic of myself and first to come up in celebs was Cybil Sheperd again., as did Joi Ito.

I hope that helps.

Sherill, this is hilarious! My wife and I did it as well.

Among my celebrity look-alikes: Jude Law, Dan Quayle, Patrick Swayze, and Lance Armstrong.

Thanks for the book recommendations. I'm going to a conference at Berkeley this week, and hope to read some books while I'm there.

I'm very sad about the current situation of things. . .
